  • Brigadier-General M.A.J. Carignan, OMM, MSM, CD

► All veterans are encouraged to join ranks on site and march in the parade.

► Parade route: From Place du Canada north on Metcalfe, east on Ste Catherine, past the Reviewing Stand at Phillip's Square, south on Beaver Hall, west on Cathcart.

► *****Please be advised that the 21 Gun Salute will be fired from Place du Canada.

► Turcot interchange is CLOSED on November 11th, please check traffic routes or take public transportation to arrive on site.*******.

  • Remembrance dinner.
  • The dinner will be held in the Stephen F. Shaar Hudson Community Centre, 394 Main Rd., on Saturday, November 10th at 18h00.

► Sunday, November 11, 2018

  • "Remembrance Day" ceremonies.
  • The parade will form up and leave from the IGA parking lot, 484 Main Rd at 10h30.
  • The parade will march towards the Cenotaph located at the Royal Canadian Legion.
  • Services at the cenotaph will begin shortly after the arrival of the troops around 10h45.
  • Two new memorial plaques will be unveiled that day in memory of 24 young men from various villages in Vaudreuil-Soulanges who made the supreme sacrifice in WWI & WW II.

  • Our guest speaker will be World War II Veteran, comrade Peter Craske. As one of the founding fathers of our Branch, he will have great anecdotes for all to hear.

► Sunday, November 11, 2018

  • Commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the World War I Armistice.
  • The ceremony will begin at the Royal Canadian Legion Cenotaph
  • Then head towards the Cemetery, where the Royal Canadian Legion will lay a wreath to commemorate the sacrifices of our Veterans.
  • After the ceremony at the cemetery, members will gather at Central Park to participate in the parade.

Branch 215, Brossard - Remembrance Day Ceremonies,

► Saturday, November 10, 2018

  • The parade departure will be at 10h35 from the Royal Canadian Legion, 8940, rue Racicot, Brossard.
  • The troops will parade through the streets in a rectangular shaped around the Royal Canadian Legion and return to the starting point where the Howitzer cannon is located, for the Ceremonies in the presence of dignitaries.
  • The parade takes less than twenty minutes and normally includes the six Cadet Corps of our sector
  • The public is invited to attend the "Remembrance Day" ceremony.

Branch 219, Mohawk, Kahnawake - Remembrance Day Ceremonies,

  • Second annual "BREAKFAST for VETERANS":
    GREAT NEWS!!! The Royal Canadian Legion, KSCS and The Rail will be hosting the 2nd annual "BREAKFAST for VETERANS" on Branch 219's Parade Day, November 10, from 08h00 until 12h00.
  • Cemetaries:
    Form up at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 219, Mohawk parking lot,
    March to Catholic cemetery for about a 15 minutes ceremony, and
    Then march to Protestant cemetery for abour a 15 minutes ceremony,
    Then march back to Branch 219, Mohawk .
  • Parade
    The parade will form up at 12h30 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch parking lot,
    March to Cenotaph [across from the Catholic church] for the Remembrance ceremony [which is about 1 hour long], March back to Branch 219, Mohawk.
  • Mingle until Black Watch Pipes and Drums performs, which is at about 15h30 or so, and
  • Then the meal is served at about 16h30.

The breakfast and the entire day activities are open to the Community, our membership and their family, guest from other Royal Canadian Legions, Black Watch Pipes and Drums + guest.
